By No Means Your Regular Tequila

By No Means Your Regular Tequila

We don't typically post about spirits, but as we develop our brand we want to make sure we keep our followers up-to-date with the best products out there. And when it comes to Tequila, there’s no hesitation when saying that Casa Dragones is the sole-king. So good in fact that Oprah Winfrey named it one of her "favorite things" for the 2014 holiday season.

The company was co-founded by the world’s first female maestra Tequilera, Bertha Gonzales Nieves, who’s professional background makes her one of the world leaders in the spirits industry. Casa Dragones started by bottling very small premium batches of their Joven Tequila, which price gears towards the higher end of spirits and quality is unprecedented within the tequila industry. Soon after, the company crafted a less expensive but highly comparable product called Blanco.

Blanco is made with meticulous attention to detail and purity but branded to appeal a broader audience. At a lower price point, it is still at least 2 times more "premium" that the regular tequila most people buy.  Their focus on purity means that the agave and the water used in the process is hand picked and carefully inspected. The agave used in Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco is harvested at 1,200 meters above sea level within the Eje Volcanico Transversal in the region of Tequila, México. The water used for the destilation comes from nearby Volcanic springs. The dark and fertile volcanic soil is abundant in potassium, phosphorus, and silicium which creates a particular natural environment for agave growth and gives the water a rich dosis of minerals, creating theCasa Dragones' distinctive taste. Even the bottle where the spirit is enclosed overseas a rigorous quality control. Bottles are hand made by professional glass blowers and the decorative marks are hand made using an antique technique called pepita.

Grab a bottle next time you see it at a liquor store and you'll understand that no post, or written words, are enough to fully describe the experience you'll enjoy.
