DIY Computer for the Little Ones

DIY Computer for the Little Ones

Coding is the new… old thing. In the past few years a lot of companies have seen value in popularizing "coding" as something anyone can learn in just a few weeks. Websites like CodeAcademy have grown popular in helping the masses learn to code. The Kano Kit brings an entirely new concept. It is basically a computer anyone can build and code in a very creative and fun way. You can program games, build servers for websites, and learn about coding in a game-like environment. The kit comes beautifully packaged and includes a Raspberry Pi (the brains), a keyboard/trackpad unit and all the wiring and casing you'll need to get started. You'll just have to provide the monitor or wait a few months and preorder the 720p HD screen that Team Kano is working on. They say the Kano is designed for kids, but we tried it and recommend it for all ages.
