The Next Generation Surveillance Camera to Keep a "Smart" Eye at Home
Many smart cameras have surfaced with the internet-of-things revolution and so far this is the one that promises the most. Equipped with state-of-the-art image identification technology Butterfleye is capable of understanding what it sees. Butterfleye is "on" all the time, but it differentiates between what you need to see; such as people or pets, and what you don't (moving trees, changes in lighting). This feature is called activity-based recording and is powered by built-in movement sensors and microphones. An integrated speaker allows you to talk back to your house, which could come in handy to yell at unwelcomed visitors. Whenever the camera is activated, it automatically records video clips and uploads them to a secure cloud. When new video is available, you will receive a smart notification on your phone letting you know what is going on. Since the camera differentiates between objects, it will text you if your pet is the subject of the video or if a person is; saving you a mini-heart attack when you see the pop-up notification. Butterfleye is wireless, records video in 1080p HD and allows for instant streaming. You still need to charge it every now and then, but it promises to bring enough battery time for you to keep an eye on your home during a getaway vacation.
